Wireframe Display

Presenter converts your PowerPoint data into a 3-dimensional geometric representation so that it can be rendered using methods developed for high-end special effects in movies and computer games.

In order to better see the geometric data Presenter creates, you can use the function key F8 to toggle between standard rendering and a wireframe-only display when giving a full screen show. The wireframe display will show off the 3D structure of the on-screen data in a much more dramatic and insightful way.

You may also find it interesting to enable the "Rotate PPT Content With Right Mouse" option (see below). With this option enabled, if hold down the right mouse button and then move your mouse around you will move the virtual camera that focuses on your PowerPoint content, thereby causing it to move on screen, in real time. This allows you to separate out FXTheme components from generated content.

Note: To explicity turn on these features, access the Advanced Options dialog box via the Preferences > Advanced Options button in the main FXEdit dialog. Once there, check the boxes labeled:

  • Rotate PPT Content With Right Mouse
  • Developer Keyboard Controls
